20 DoI vehicles damaged this year

20 Department of Infrastructure works vehicles have been damaged since the start of the year.

A Freedom of Information request revealed 20 vehicles used for operation work such as vans, lorries and cars have been involved in accidents, with eight needing external body shop repairs.

Some incidents resulted in minor damage such as wing mirror damage which was repaired in house.

The figures exclude specialist vehicles such as cherry pickers and cranes, as well as buses.
