Wed, 11 Jul 2018
Ramsey lifeboat was needed to tow a fishing vessel to safety after it broke down nine miles north of the Point of Ayre.
Crews were called out shortly before 6am yesterday after the Whitby-registered vessel suffered a complete loss of power.
The lifeboat reached the stricken vessel an hour after launching, and established a tow to bring the vessel into Ramsey Harbour.
The three-man crew on board the fishing vessel were unhurt, and the casualty vessel was moored by 10.30am.
