School holiday foodbank demand to be discussed in Tynwald
Fri, 15 Jun 2018
Extra demand on the Island's food bank during the school summer holidays will be discussed at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
Last year, the Isle of Man Food Bank reported an increased demand for items over the summer break, believing those are eligible for free school meals during term time struggle the most during the holidays.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine wants to know what action the Government has taken to prevent the increased demand and mitigate hunger over the period.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle will provide a response at next week's sitting.
