Firefighters tackle 30m gorse fire in Laxey

Fire crews were called out to tackle a gorse fire in Laxey.

Around 30m of gorse was on fire at Baldhoon Road shortly before 1.00 this morning.

It took firefighters around 20 minutes to bring the fire under control, but crews remained in attendance for around two hours damping down the area.
