Cyclists are being reminded that bicycles are not to be ridden in the Island's 18 Manx National Glens.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has issued the warning following a near miss between a cyclist and a walker in Molly Quirks Glen.
Forestry Byelaws forbid cycling in any of the Glens due to the narrow and steep nature of the paths, which often have blind corners, bridges and steps.
DEFA says it does provide numerous cycling opportunities in its Forestry estate and is urging riders to respect the rule that Glens are only for pedestrians.
