Cyclists banned from Mountain Road during TT

Cyclists will be banned from using the Mountain Road from tomorrow.

Bicycles will be prohibited from the route throughout TT while the road is temporarily made one way.

Police says the decision has been made out of concerns for cyclists, warning that the extra motorbikes and cars using the route presents a greater risk to cyclists.

The restriction will be lifted when the road is made two-way again at the end of the TT fortnight.
