The Island's Air Ambulance team has undergone training to deal with emergencies in bad weather conditions.
The service normally used a fixed-wing aircraft out of Ronaldsway, but the aircraft is unable to fly in high winds and fog.
A specialised helicopter is used by the UK's Search and Rescue team when Manx patients need emergency transfers to the UK in poor weather.
Nine doctors and nurses from the Island attended the training, which included on-board orientation, safety and communications to ensure the team can do their jobs when using the emergency helicopter.
