Mon, 26 Mar 2018
The Island's roads police are urging bikers to make sure their motorbikes are safe before taking it for a ride.
The Roads Policing Unit believe more riders will be taking to the Island's roads as the weather improves.
Officers are urging motorcyclists to check tyres and oil, as well as ensuring exhausts are fitted with a silencer.
Bikes made over April 2003 must as a BS or E number of the silencer.
Two riders have been issued with defect notices today after being found to be riding with aftermarket silences that don't meet regulations.
