Longer closure for NSC fitness zone, spa facilities

Repairs at the National Sports Centre will take longer than expected following a fire earlier this month.

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture had hoped the fitness zone and spa suite would be able to re-open next week.

However, it's now estimated that the facilities will remain closed until the week beginning April 9th.

As well as repairs to the changing room, specialist contractors are needed to ensure equipment in the areas is restored and cleaned properly before it can be used by customers.

The exact reopening date isn't yet known, but further details will be released nearer the time.
