Last day to spend UK round pounds

Wed, 28 Feb 2018

UK round pound coins won't be accepted legal tender on the Isle of Man after today.

Only the new-style 12-sided coin and Manx round coins, along with Isle of Man pound notes, will be accepted from tomorrow.

Those who have unspent round pound coins from the UK after today will be able to exchange them at their bank.

UK round pounds ceased to be legal tender there in October, but the Island has continued to accept the coin.

Older UK £10 notes will also be removed from circulation tomorrow having been replaced by the new polymer note in September last year.
