A yellow weather warning is in place until Thursday as snow and ice is expected to affect the Island in the coming days.
The Ronaldsway Met Office expects daytime temperatures will remain below 4 degrees over the next few days, while falling below freezing overnight.
Meteorologists believe flurries of snow will wall anytime between now and Thursday afternoon, but expect the showers to be light and accumulations to be small.
The Department of Infrastructure intends to use its bulk gritters in a bid to keep the primary routes as clear as possible either after the evening rush hour or before the morning commute.
Grit is also available to collect for free from the Island's civic amenity sites as well as the 850 salt bins in the Island's residential areas.
