Drivers who ignore road closed signs will be penalised

Police are warning drivers who ignore road closed signs will be penalised.

The Mountain Road is currently closed due to snow falling overnight.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit warn drivers who are ignoring the signs are hindering gritters working in the area attempting to clear the route.

Police patrols are being diverted to deal with motorists who drive on closed roads.
