The Department of Infrastructure is looking for a contractor to deal with silt from Peel Marina.
The Department wants to hear from companies that can remove a sufficient level of contaminants to allow dredged material to be disposed of at sea or recycled.
Silt builds up in the impounded area of Peel harbour, with around 3,000 tonnes entering the marina from the River Neb each year.
The material has to be dredged to keep all vessel berths open, with around 10,000 tonnes having been excavated and stored at a temporary site in 2015 to restore the marina to its published depth.
The DoI says it's in everybody's interest for the Island to fulfill its environmental obligations and ensure Peel marina remains in working order for Manx and visiting boat owners.
