The amount of de-icer being held at the Isle of Man Airport has been increased by more than 50%.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Hamrer revealed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that 15,000 litres of de-icer is now being kept at Ronaldsway, up from 9,000 litres in December.
The handling agent that provides de-icer used its entire supply in one day in December during a spell of severe weather.
Mr Harmer confirmed no more than 457 litres of de-icer had been used during the month of December in the last five years, while most years none was needed.
