The cost of prescriptions on the Isle of Man won't be going up.
Health Minister David Ashford revealed in Tynwald this morning that proposals to put the cost of a prescription item up from £3.85 to £5 have been scrapped.
The Department of Health and Social Care received over 300 responses to a consultation on changes to the health services, including increasing the cost of medication.
Some of those who submitted views to the consultation suggested prescription charges should be removed altogether - something which Mr Ashford confirmed will be considered as part of an upcoming review.
The DHSC is also seeking £9.5m in additional funding at this month's sitting.
