The Island's emergency services received 20 calls for ambulances and 31 for the police during a nine-hour period on New Year's Eve into New Year's Day.
The Isle of Man Constabulary revealed the cells were full due to the number of arrests made at one point between 11pm on Sunday and 8am yesterday, while all police vehicles were busy.
Officers were called to a wide range of incidents including drunk and disorderly behaviour, people refusing to leave a pub and a suspected drink driver.
Two officers were also tied up at the busiest point of the night to tackle an escaped horse in the road at Bulgham.
The police say the workload is typical of a busy night and the demand on the emergency services is a lot for the Island.
