Over £600 was spent advertising the tender process to find an operator for the Island's Meat Plant.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture recently sought a third party to run the meat processing facility, but no organisaiton that fulfilled the requirements came forward.
Following a Freedom of Information request, DEFA revealed advertising the opportunity in the local press and Meat Trades Journal cost £609.60 excluding VAT.
As a result of the failed tender process, the Government will continue to provide support to the meat plant, with a new management team due to take over in January.
