A local authority is welcoming plans to introduce safer crossing points for pedestrians in the south of the Island.
Arbory Parish Commissioners revealed the Department of Infrastructure has agreed to include the crossings at Friary Park and Parish Hall.
The board says there have been ongoing problems particularly at the Friary Park entrance for younger and older pedestrians who cross the road at the junction.
The Commissioners hope the increased safety features will encourage more parents to walk their children to school.
The scheme is due to get underway next summer.
