A company that was evicted from Ramsey Shipyard owes the Manx Government over £52,000.
A court judgment ordered DSC Ltd to pay rent arrears and profits from August 2013 to February 2016 in the sum of £41,574 last year after being instructed to vacate the premises.
Minister for Enterprise, Laurence Skelly, provided an update on the situation in this month's sitting of Tynwald, revealing that with rates, rents and interest the total now stands at £52,632 plus the Department's legal costs.
Mr Skelly revealed that the Department has sought to enforce the judgment, but that the former tenant doesn't have any assets.
The Minister admits the situation isn't acceptable, but that the Government can only move forward as the law permits.
