Health Minister faces MEDS query

The number of people being treated by the Manx Emergency Doctors Service will be discussed in this month's sitting of Tynwald.

Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson wants to know how many patients are referred to the service, and what method of referral is used.

Mr Watterson also wants to know what the capacity of MEDS is, and whether doctors help in A&E during its busiest periods.

MEDS is designed to be used as an out of hours GP service at evenings and weekends.

Health Minister Kate Beecroft will respond when Tynwald sits tomorrow.
