The Island's Public Protection Unit says the victims of a sex offender sentenced to nine years in prison showed immense courage to report his crimes.
57-year-old Antony Carus was jailed for a number of historic sexual offences yesterday following a two-week trial.
The police officers in charge of the investigation praised the victims for reporting the offences and the continued strength they showed while giving evidence in court.
The Public Protection Unit also thanked the families of the victims for their strength, and hopes the conviction and sentence will provide some form of closure.
