Motorists are being reminded of the dangers of drink driving in the run up to Christmas.
The Island's Roads Policing Unit has issued a warning ahead of the festive period.
Officers insist there is no fool-proof way to drink and stay under the limit, with factors such as age, weight and metabolism all affecting how a person processes alcohol.
The RPU also says sobering up tricks don't work, and that someone who has been out drinking the night before could still be over the limit the next day.
The police, Public Health and Bus Vannin launched a safety campaign last week urging Manx residents to drink responsibly over Christmas.
