The cost of the TV licence rebate scheme for over 75s will be discussed in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge will ask Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan for details about the finances of the scheme, including the cost of staffing the programme.
Ms Edge also wants to know how many of those entitled to the refund haven't claimed, and how much this has saved the Government.
The current system means those who qualify for a free TV licence must buy the document themselves then apply for a refund from the Treasury.
Earlier this week, Mr Cannan told Tynwald that the current scheme isn't ideal, but that there isn't a viable alternative.
