Sharon Drysdale retained her title as winner of the 101 Challenge knockout team competition, this year paired with David Humphrey in an IOMSC Douglas B side.
The well-attended event, held at Sulby's range, saw eight teams take part - two each from Kirk Michael, Sulby, IOMSC Douglas and Port St Mary.
There were a few other matters worthy of note on the night.
Noah Mayne, who has been shooting superbly well in practice over the weekend, found the pressure cooker atmosphere of competition a different prospect.
After the youngster's sling "dismantled" itself before his first-round card with Kirk Michael team mate Alex Trafford, an entirely accidental breakage of his rifle's front sight afterwards left the 12-year-old in a fix. But once again the island's target shooting community rallied round with Port St Mary pair Ashley Gardner and Derek Kermode stepping in to help. They provided a temporary repair which will keep the youngster on track until a replacement can be supplied. It's tough at the top Noah, but all in all he handled it well.
And Sharon Drysdale was handed her first-round target card without a sighting diagram affixed to it and, having caught range officer range Brian Fozzard out, she politely asked to be given the sighter.
