A campaign group calling for the Island's abortion laws to be updated says the public's responses to a consultation shows the current legislation doesn't meet the Island's needs.
The Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation has been calling for a change to the law which would allow women to undergo abortions on the Island.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson drafted a Bill which would make it easier for Manx women to get a termination, with over 3,600 people responding to a public consultation on his initial draft of the Abortion Reform Bill.
CALM believes the law should reflect the views of the public, with 87% of those responding to the consultation in favour of allowing abortion for women up to 14 weeks pregnant.
The full findings of the consultation will be published today.
