Work will begin next week to improve the area around Port Erin Railway Station.
The Department of Infrastructure is bringing specialist contractors to the Island for the project, which is expected to take around six weeks.
In order for the work to take place, a section of footpath and seven car parking spaces will be closed, but the road outside the station will remain open throughout the work.
The DoI says the work will further integrate rail and bus services in the area.
Part of the track will be removed and relaid, while the end of the platform will be rebuilt.
