Coastguard issues more advice to swimmers

Douglas Coastguard was called out to give advice to youths swimming in Douglas bay for the second time in a week.

A team was called away from other work on Friday after concerns were raised over the safety of youngsters swimming from the promenade walkway.

Officers issued advice about the potential risks involved, warning that the youths could be endangering themselves.

The coastguard also commented that the group was a credit to itself, listening to the advice and following instructions.
