Gym plans for former sorting office

Planning permission is being sought to turn the former Ramsey sorting office into a gym.

Isle of Man Post Office vacated Gladstone Industrial Park last year, opening its Northern Delivery Office at the former Chrystals Auction House nearby.

Quay Fitness wants to turn Unit 9 on the estate into a commercial gym hosting a range of equipment and opening seven days a week between 6am and 9pm.

The site includes seven allocated parking spaces and 60 unallocated, with the applicant insisting the gym would mainly operate when other units on the estate aren't in use.
