A man who claimed he was the victim of racially-aggravated assaults while in prison on the Isle of Man has had his claim dismissed.
Anthony Adenaike claimed he'd been assaulted by prison staff because of his race, and that the police had helped cover up the incident.
Mr Adenaike had also accused the Department of Home Affairs of not allowing him access to the courts.
High Bailiff John Needham struck out the claim in the High Court of Justice, insisting too much time had passed to allow the case to be pursued under the Human Rights Act.
However, Mr Adenaike has been allowed access to video of the incident to continue a claim of assault by prison guards in July 2014.
