The Department of Home Affairs is seeking feedback from the Manx public on plans to outsource some of the police's functions.
The DHA believes outsourcing will allow Isle of Man Constabulary officers to focus on frontline policing tasks.
The operation of the custody suite and independent investigation of police could both be outsourced if the plans go ahead.
The Department says this is part of its aim to be more financially responsible, and that outsourcing would only happen if it proved to be more cost effective than the current arrangements/
Details of the proposals can be found on the consultation section of the Government website. Responses must be submitted to the Department by September 5th.
