The Government will donate £100,000 to help keep the Family and Mobile Library operating.
The Family Library needs £250,000 per year to run its schools services and mobile library, but revealed current donors and sponsors weren't enough to meet the operating costs.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan announced in this morning's sitting of the House of Keys that a payment of £100,000 will be made to keep the service running for the next 12 months.
Mr Cannan also revealed members of the Treasury will be meeting with the Family Library to gain a better understanding of their financing.
A resident on the Island had previously agreed to match donations up to £125,000.
