Ayre Clay Target Club held four competitions at Blue Point on Sunday. Rob Watterson was the winner of the 50 target Olympic Trap League competition sponsored by Absolute Scaffolding. Mark Riley took second place. Watterson went on to win the 100 target selection shoot and the CopyCat Trophy.
Riley was the winner of the third round of the Olympic Skeet league. Marty Kneen was second, Nigel Moffatt was third with Winkie Macleod taking the fourth spot.
Marty Kneen was the winner of the fourth round of the Sportrap Summer League. Ben Richards was second and Kevin Oates and Dave Lally shared third place.
Results of the 50 target Sportrap competition:
A Class: 1, Martin Kneen 39/50; 2, Ben Richards 38; 3, Dave Lally and Kevin Oates 37.
B Class: 1, Jake Brew 34; 2, Corina Clague 26; 3, Richie Howland 20.
C Class: 1, Winkie Macleod 29; 2, Jordan Dougherty 26; 3, Ted Davis 24.
This week is a 100 target English Sporting Selection Shoot, entries close at 10.15am. There will be a work party on Saturday from 1pm. Any help would be appreciated.
