RPU officers tackle a range of driving offences
Mon, 29 May 2017
The Mountain Road closed several times following crashes and other incidents over the weekend.
Motorists have been caught breaking the rules of the road as the Island's highways get busy for TT.
One driver received four penalty points and a £120 fine for using their mobile phone while driving over the Mountain Road yesterday.
Another was given the same fine and three points for doing 49mph in a 30 zone on the Laxey Coast Road.
Officers warn speed enforcement will be carried out on the road for the entire two weeks of TT.
Incorrectly displayed number plates, poor riding and debris falling off bikes have also attracted the attention of the Roads Policing Unit over the weekend.
