The Office of Fair Trading is warning a model of tumble dryer sold by a store with a branch in the Island poses a safety risk.
A batch of Logik LVD7W15 tumble dryers made during March and April last year and sold by Curry's have a heating element which can overheat and lead to fire.
Anyone who has this model of tumble dryer and hasn't already been contacted by Curry's should contact Knowhow, and give them the serial model number found on the inside of the door.
Those who have the affected dryers will be visited by a technician to replace the element.
The OFT is advising anyone who thinks they may have the affected dryer to stop using it immediately, switch it off and unplug it at the mains.
