18,000 tonnes of material to be dredged in Peel
Tue, 02 May 2017
Around 18,000 tonnes of material will be dredged from the outer harbour in Peel.
The Department of Infrastructure expects the work to begin soon and take around three weeks to complete.
The work is needed to ensure commercial vessels can use the area safely, but is likely to prevent the DoI being able to dredge the marina this year.
As a result, those who use the marina will receive discounted fees for the 2017-18 period.
The dredged material will be disposed of a sea south west of Peel.
