The Infrastructure Minister admits some Tynwald members still have questions about plans to change the vehicle duty system.
Ray Harmer postponed consideration of the Vehicle Duty Order 2017, which had been due to be voted on at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
The DoI says the changes would encourage the use of less-polluting vehicles and local businesses, but some drivers would see rises to their car tax under the plans.
The Department will brief Tynwald members further and answer the remaining questions before attempting to gain support for the Order at a future sitting.
