Douglas Coastguard has been called out twice in as many days to deal with incidents on beaches on the east coast of the Island.
A team were called away from their training exercise on Monday evening to help paramedics reach an injured person.
The casualty was quickly rescued before the coastguard crews returned to their drill.
There was another incident in the early hours of yesterday morning after a car got stuck on the beach at Garwick Bay.
The car's owners had got the vehicle stuck below the high water mark, and had been unable to free the vehicle themselves.
The coastguard team was able to tow the car to safety with a Land Rover.
