Tue, 18 Apr 2017
Military bomb disposal specialists are travelling to the Island after unexploded ordnance was found in the west of the Island.
The items, which were found on a green lane track in Kirk Michael, are thought to be World War II mortars
The military has been informed and is sending specialists to the Isle of Man to help with the safe destruction of the ordnance.
The Sartfell area will remain cordoned off until the ordnance has been disposed of, although the police insist the risk to the public is low.
