The Island's Education Minister says there are no plans to introduce the Daily Mile Strategy to all Manx schools.
The scheme encourages schools to urge their pupils to run or walk a mile every day to improve their fitness and aid concentration levels at school.
Speaking at this week's sitting of the House of Keys, Graham Cregeen revealed some of the Island's primary schools already operate the scheme, while others run fitness-based activities like Zumba, skipping and yoga.
However, the Minister insists he won't be implementing the strategy across the board, as most schools already offer a wide range of activities.
