Police have revealed three teenagers from the south of the Island have been arrested on suspicion of starting a fire at the former marine biological station in Port Erin.
The three boys were arrested on Monday and have since been released while enquiries continue.
The teenagers were interviewed at Police Headquarters and bailed without charge.
Officers say they are confident they now know the circumstances which resulted in the fire, and a report is being prepared for the Attorney General to determine whether a criminal case can procede.
The building was set alight on New Year's Eve, sustaining substantial damage to the upper floor and roof.
