MSPCA warns of dangers of giving pets alcohol

Pet owners on the Island are being urged not to give their animals alcohol following a report of a dog being given vodka.

The Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says the police have made it aware of an incident where a dog appears to have been given vodka and coke.

The charity is reminding those with dogs, cats and other pets that alcohol is poisonous to many animals and should never be given to pets.

An investigation into the alleged incident is underway.
