David Livsey presents the cheque to Douglas's lifeboat crew.
A nine year old boy from Onchan has donated more than £500 to Douglas's RNLI station.
David Livsey's family put a collection tin outside their home in Eksdale Road in Onchan at Christmas.
Locals travelled to their home to see their Christmas decorations, which have previously won Onchan Commissioners' prize for best outside light display.
The nine-year-old suggested Douglas's lifeboat crew should be the recipients of the donations, presenting a cheque to the station for £550.
