2p rate rise for Onchan residents
Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Onchan residents face an average rate rise of around £3 per property over the next year.
Onchan District Commissioners announced a 2p increase to 312p in the pound for the 2017-18 financial year.
Lead member for finance and general purposes Martin Macfarlane said the small increase will allow the Commissioners to keep their services predictable and sustainable.
Ratepayers in the village can secure a prompt payment discount of 4% by paying their rates in full by the end of June.
