Credit union launched to offer affordable lending and saving

A credit union will offer alternatives to expensive pay day loans for those on the Isle of Man.

The Manx Credit Union officially opened on North Quay in Douglas this week.

The organisation is run by volunteers to offer affordable lending and savings services to its members, with membership open to all Island residents aged 16 and over.

David Talbot is behind the idea. He spoke to MTTV about the credit union [play audio].
