A week learning about healthy lifestyle choices could be introduced at schools across the Island after a Douglas school became the first to test such an event.
St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School is holding events throughout this week to teach pupils the importance of making good lifestyle choices.
Students will take part in the Daily Mile challenge, as well as hearing about the importance of emotional wellbeing, before the whole school takes part in a Zumbathon at the end of the week.
The Department of Health and Social Care says similar initiatives could be rolled out to other schools in the future if the week goes well.
The DHSC has been working to encourage the Manx public to take greater responsibility for their own health, including making better lifestyle choices.
