Meat lorry swerves to avoid crash

Witnesses are being sought after a meat lorry had to take evasive action to avoid a vehicle coming in the opposite direction at Glen Helen.

The truck swerved in a bid to avoid the collision, but hit the embankment when the white pick up-style truck crossed onto the wrong side of the road.

The incident took place yesterday shortly before midday near the Glen Helen Hotel.
