The Economic Development Minister says businesses starting up outside Douglas can seek support from his Department.
Laurence Skelly was asked what the DED is doing to help companies looking to establish themselves outside the Island's capital at this week's sitting of the House of Keys by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
The Minister confirmed commercial land in Douglas is still in the greatest demand, but that areas across the Island are designated for regeneration.
Businesses setting up in such areas can apply for support from the Department's Financial Assistance Scheme, while shop front improvement grants can also be sought.
Mr Skelly added that his Department is working to attract businesses to the Airport Technology Gateway at Ronaldsway, and has plans to encourage more businesses to set up at the Jurby Industrial Estate.
