Rally Star Mark Higgins has taken to Social Media to thank the Volunteers who put on the 138.com Rally Isle of Man.
Although now living in Wales, Manx born Mark has a great passion for the Isle of Man and in particular the International Rally known in rallying worldwide as the 'Manx'.
He wrote:
"I know this rally was difficult at times because of lack of marshals, but a massive thank you to everyone that worked so hard to make it happen.
Without you the rally would not happen.
In these days we are all so very busy and it's hard to dedicate time, but it really is appreciated even when we are all focused on our own competition and sometimes don't show it.
Many thx and without you we would not have our sport "
Higgins narrowly missed out on the outright win to Elfyn Evans who was crowned this year's British Champion. There was just 8 seconds between Higgins and Evans going in to the last stage, but when they crossed the line, Evans had taken the win by 5.9 seconds.
