Fire crews are praising the actions of staff at a chip shop in the south of the Island following a fire.
Officers from Port Erin and Castletown were called to a blaze at Port Erin Chippy yesterday afternoon.
The staff were able to isolate power and evacuate everyone in the building safely, preventing further damage and injuries.
After extinguising the fire in the shop's extraction system, crews spent three hours cutting away hot spots to make the building safe.
The Chippy has confirmed on Twitter that the shop will be closed until next week because of the incident.
