Peel Lifeboat was launched yesterday after a kayaker was swamped by a wave and unable to make it back to shore.
A pair of kayakers had been on the water near the back of Peel Hill when one was knocked out of their boat.
Unable to bail the water out or get back in the craft the person beached under the cliffs with the partner returning to shore to raise the alarm.
The lifeboat was launched shortly after 11am to collect the stranded kayaker - Peel RNLI say both were 'well equipped' and their actions were 'the safest course under the circumstances'.
